Soviet Army Presentation Dagger. "bchlam" (in Cyrillic letters) 1981, beneath reclining winged lion TM. Gilted brass hilt fittings retain 100% of the factory gilting and lacquer on the pommel cap with red plastic Soviet star, obverse pommel with Soviet Armed Forces emblem and to the recurved crossguard with raised, polished oak leaves on matte gold background. Medium orange celluloid grip is perfect with no cracks or chips. Plated, double-etched, blade grades MINT with reverse ricasso serial numbered "294". Both obverse and reverse blade feature a 5 ½" long floral etched motif on a light gray frosted background, and blade is complete with red felt blade buffer pad. Black leather-covered scabbard is in MINT/unissued condition with no wear or age and is complete with upper, center, and lower gilted fittings with two suspension rings. Obverse upper fitting features five-pointed star with hammer and sickle and sun rays above laurel leaf sprigs. The reverse upper fitting features a facsimile of the Spasskaya Tower of the Kremlin on a matte gold background. The obverse and reverse upper and lower fittings feature raised, polished oak leaves on matte gold background. MINT/Unissued (24817) $2,000.
